If you are in the Tampa Bay, Florida area and your pet needs surgery, you have found the right place! In fact many veterinarians in Tampa Bay bring their own pets to us for surgery.
We are the people who get the job done without fanfare!
Our practice could probably be described as a nearly-outpatient surgical center for dogs and cats. If you have experienced out patient surgery yourself , you may have appreciated the opportunity to have stayed in-hospital overnight.
Our overnight care is for surgery patients only..while other facilities typically use an emergency-clinic to provide care, we believe that our way is best for our patients.
We have been serving Tampa bay for 16 years and have met thousands of wonderful pets and their two legged companions who were dedicated to finding the best care possible.
If you contact us, we will be able to tell you if your pet has something that is likely to be repairable or treatable with surgery. We only perform what we know we can do well and do not promise unrealistic outcomes to people. It is common for us to repair knee and hip problems, repair broken bones, remove tumors, repair hernias, remove bladder stones or treat urinary obstruction, remove herniated disks and many more procedures.
We make good on our commitments even if there are some bumps in the road. With increasing costs for quality of care we strive to deliver state of the art care at competitive prices. If you are contemplating any type of procedure on your pet, we highly suggest you know these facts: Veterinary medicine is not regulated in terms of keeping track of doctors qualifications to perform complex procedures. Veterinarians are not required to disclose their experience level before undertaking a procedure. If you were going to have surgery would you not want the Dr. to be performing surgery all the time?
The majority of Veterinarians in the Tampa Bay Area are fantastic and if yours recommends us we look forward to talking to you! If they do not, we recommend calling area veterinarians to see if in fact our name does come up. At the end of the day, what are you going to believe, the community or some flashy ad?
Dr. Hay has donated services to many Rescue Organizations over the years and the many Veterinarians in the surrounding Tri-county area who have enlisted our surgical expertise as part of the process for their rescue patients to find new homes.
